Johannes Brahms was a German composer and pianist who, like many other artists of his time, lived, studied, and worked in Vienna, Austria. He differs somewhat in that his music was firmly rooted in the structures and compositional techniques of the Classical Masters. Yet, they contain deeply Romantic motifs. In this presentation, we examine how meticulous structure can blend with emotional themes to produce the legacy that is Brahms.
