The multiple theaters lining a street in New York City known simply as "Broadway" have long been a Mecca for composers, actors, and musicians. To be featured here is synonymous with having achieved the pinnacle of success. Join Dr. Roger Koment this summer in a course that examines the stories and history behind six of the most popular musicals that have long been performed on the stages of Broadway theaters: Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Cats, Lion King, Fiddler on the Roof, and South Pacific. For each, we also listen to several familiar compositions performed by members of the original cast.
